Fireboy and Watergirl 2: the Light Temple Speedrun (Any%, 1P) in 19:27 (WR)
This was a pretty good run. A couple of mistakes here and there, but I’m happy with it. I might be coming back at this category at some point, but it won’t be for a while.
For those wondering, the WR that stood for about 2 years before I grinding for this run was a 21:05, which you can see here: . Since then, there are 2 main things that got found that saved a lot of time.
First, Calvin304 and Anonymouse21 discovered that pressing the Enter key as Fireboy and Watergirl enter their door at the end of each level makes you leave the level, saving some time over waiting for the “Level cleared” menu to show up.
Second, a big skip which saves around 15-20 seconds got found in level 36. Just watch the level being done in the run to see it, it’s quite unique.
